Do I need to bring bedding linen or towels?
We provide all bed linen and beach, bath and hand towels for each guest, on request we can also provide face cloths and dressing gowns.
Where can I buy food during my stay?
St Agnes has a general shop and Post Office about 3 minutes walk from the cottage. They are small but very well stocked, and can supply most things you will need. You can download an order form to pre-order groceries for your arrival which we can collect for you free of charge and pop in the cottage for you on your arrival. Troytown farm also have a lovely little farm shop where they sell their own produce (milk, butter, cream, yogurt, ice cream, pork, beef and seasonal veg).
Do I need to book the ferry/plane/helicopter from Lands End/Newquay/Penzance in advance?
We would strongly advise you to do so, especially at peak times. You can book online at www.ios-travel.co.uk.
Do I need to book the transfer from St Marys to St Agnes?
If you are coming on the Scillonian Ferry you do not need to book a transfer as the ferry is always met at St Marys quay by another, smaller boat which will transfer you to St Agnes . If you are flying to St Marys, please check the transfer times with the local boatman www.st-agnes-boating.co.uk. Our getting here page has more information on travelling to St Agnes.
Can I bring my dog or any other type of pet?
Unfortunately at this time we cannot accept dogs/pets as we ourselves have a new rescue cat next door at our cottage, we regret this decision as we are animal people ourselves but we do hope you understand and should our situation change we may update this policy.
Can I bring my car/bike or hire a car/bike on the island?
There are only passenger ferries over to the islands and no car rental here. You can hire bike's for the day if you visit Tresco or St Marys but the island is so small there is really no need for them on St Agnes. By prior arrangement with both Isles of Scilly Travel & St Agnes Boating it is possible to bring your own bike over if you do feel the need.
Can I bring my kayak or stand up paddle board?
The islands are a watersports haven and unless you really want to bring a highly specialised kayak or paddle board there is really no need to bring your own as there are reasonably priced hire options now on each one of the islands. We love a sunset paddle board at Periglis beach hiring boards from St Agnes watersports!
How can I visit the other islands during my stay?
St Agnes boating offer daily trips to the other islands for day trips and other island events such as fetes , sports events and local festivals.
